What is Bank on Oakland?

Bank on Oakland works to make banking more accessible to Oakland residents who currently have no checking or saving accounts. Without access to banking services, people are forced to rely on high-cost check cashers and paying hundred of dollars in fees each year just to cash their checks and pay bills.

How can Bank on Oakland Help Me?

Bank on Oakland offers low-or no-cost accounts and financial training to unbanked Oakland residents; Starter checking accounts for those with no experience with financial institutions; and second chance accounts for those with a prior record of poor credit or unresolved banking issues.

At Bank on Oakland, everyone is welcome to open an account.
