Energy Assistance

Having trouble with your heating bill?

Energy services, including weatherization and home energy assistance, are provided to Oakland residents by Spectrum Community Services.

Weatherization

Low income households may be eligible to receive free energy efficiency measures, such as attic insulation, door weather stripping, or faucet aerators, minor home repairs such as door or glass replacement, and other measures such as compact fluorescent bulbs, efficient refrigerators, and ceiling fans.

To determine eligibility or apply, call 510-883-0921 or visit Spectrum Weatherization.

Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP)

HEAP helps low-income households pay their energy bills. Eligible households may receive assistance once per program year with PG&E bills.

To determine eligibility or apply, call 510-881-0300 x 245, or visit Spectrum HEAP.
