The Department of Human Services has several granting programs and funding opportunities annually through the Oakland Fund for Children and Youth, the $2 Parking Set-Aside Fund, and through our Community Housing Services Division. Listed below and to your right are current opportunities.
 
Head Start - Notice Requesting Bids
 

The City of Oakland Head Start program is requesting bids to provide various Professional Services.  Bid information will be available Monday, March 27 through Friday, April 7, 2006.

Bid information packages for the following Professional Services can be picked-up at 150 Frank H. Ogawa Plaza, Suite 5352, Oakland, CA. between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

  • Speech and Language Services
  • Mental Health Services
  • Janitorial Services

The 2006-2007 OFCY Request for Proposal will be released on November 17, 2005.
 
Oakland Community Action Partnership (OCAP) 2006-2007 RFP
 
The 2006-2007 Oakland Community Action Partnership (OCAP) Request for Partnership (RFP) will be released on Monday, August 8, 2005.
 

VPPSA Funding Process for Violence Prevention Programs

Emergency Shelter Grant (ESG), Emergency Housing Program (EHP) and Winter Relief Program (WRP)
 

The next ESG, EH, and WR grant period is July 1, 2006, through June 30, 2008. The proposal process will begin in early 2006.
